[BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference

The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics organises the [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference taking place in the Congress Center Basel (Switzerland) on 13-15 September, 2021. This event is Switzerland’s main event in the area of Computational Biology and one of the major computational biology events in Europe. It unites scientists working in a broad range of disciplines and features presentations of latest scientific results, workshops, tutorials, poster sessions, and keynotes lectures by international experts. Participation at [BC]2 is thus a prime opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research in computational biology and bioinformatics, and to network with other members of our community.

The [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference will host an ELIXIR Innovation & SME Forum (supported by the European Commission) on Monday 13 September, 2021. The Forum entitled “Building the learning ecosystem of health: from data tracking to preventive medicine” brings together pharma and biotech companies, researchers, citizens, clinicians, health insurance providers and governmental institutions to discuss current challenges and solutions for the preventive healthcare ecosystem.

During the Forum, start-ups and SMEs working in the field of preventive medicine and healthcare have the possibility to present their ideas and solutions. Companies with selected presentations are benefiting from a 10% discount on the [BC]2 sponsorship packages.
