Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory to rent at sitem-insel

The Institute of Infectious Diseases (IFIK) of the University of Bern, and the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine (sitem-insel) are renting two Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories for projects from both the public and private sector.
The BSL-3 is managed by the Biosafety Center of the Institute of Infectious Diseases (IFIK) of the University of Bern. It has a 230 sqm floor space which includes IFIK rooms as well as two fully equipped rooms of sitem-insel, each with a separate entry.
The labfully complies with the legal requirements according to the Contained Use Ordinance (ESV, SR 814.912).
It is unique and one of the largest of its kind in Switzerland.
A maximum of four people can work at the same time in the area that can be rented.
