The next Digital Health Connect is taking place on 14 November 2024, in Sion.
Hospital at home: a new model in the digital age?
While home care is well established in Switzerland, the idea of extending it to inpatient care is gradually emerging in our country thanks to innovative pilot projects. Faced with an ageing population and technological advances in virtual care, there is an urgent need to seriously explore this model, which has already been tried and tested internationally.
This half-day conference aims to bring together healthcare players, researchers, entrepreneurs and policymakers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of this model in the digital age.
Together, they will shed light on the questions raised by this theme:
- What can we learn from international experiences with hospital at home?
- How can the integration of technology improve the delivery of hospital care at home?
- What clinical and logistical challenges must be overcome to ensure the success of hospital-at-home care?
- What business models are viable to support this paradigm shift in healthcare?
Swiss and international examples will enrich this conference with inspiring keynotes, as well as decoding sessions on technological, clinical and economic aspects. The program will also include presentations of applied projects, from idea to implementation, as well as networking opportunities to facilitate exchanges between participants.
