Claire Charmet is the New CEO of CHUV

The new CEO of CHUV took up her position on 1 June 2025. Claire Charmet is already familiar with the institution, having observed it in her role as a member of the strategic council. She has made hospital management her career for the past 15 years.
Aged 42, Claire Charmet has been managing the La Chaux-de-Fonds hospital site since 2020 and has chaired the Neuchâtel Hospital Network’s management committee on a biennial basis. This healthcare professional holds an International Healthcare MBA from Frankfurt and has trained as a hospital director in France. With 15 years of experience in various positions in the hospital sector, she took over as head of the CHUV on 1 June 2025.
« The CHUV is a complex multi-layered organization: basic care, highly specialized referral care, research, teaching… It is deeply rooted in the daily life of the canton and is a wonderful institution with impressive facilities and committed, motivated teams. It is a structure that fulfills its mission well, both in terms of routine care and referral care, and which has a strong research dynamic », says the new Executive Director of the CHUV.
