Biopôle SA is expanding its offering with 18 brand-new private laboratory units, from 30 to 75 m² each, available from October 2025 in the Trypto building.
Since its first building was completed in 2008, Biopôle has grown into a renowned hub with 10 buildings housing over 170 companies and academic institutions such as CHUV and UNIL. This vibrant ecosystem now supports more than 2,500 professionals. Under the leadership of Nasri Nahas and a renewed management team since 2015, Biopôle has embraced a community-centric vision, launching initiatives like StartLab, the Digital Health Hub, and acceleration programmes for emerging companies.
Next fall, Biopôle will offer 18 next laboratory units. Unlike its fully serviced StartLab and Superlab facilities, these labs are designed for companies that are ready to operate independently while still benefiting from the collaborative spirit of a shared facility. Flexible contracts will be offered, an ideal solution for ventures seeking autonomy.
The new private labs come with shared amenities that encourage interaction and resource efficiency, including a meeting room and kitchenette. Additional shared infrastructure includes an autoclave and washing room and a facility equipped with two chemical fume hoods, together with a storage and a fridge rooms. The development will also feature 17 private offices, from 30 to 70 m² each, exclusively dedicated to the members using the lab facilities, thus offering a complete workspace solution.
