Three major European digital health ecosystems are teaming up to create a pan-European alliance aimed at accelerating the growth and cross-border scaling of digital health solutions.
The Future of Health Grant (Switzerland), Future4care (France/Germany), and the Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub (Spain) signed partnership agreements during the Health Revolution Congress 2025 in Barcelona. Their mission: to make it easier for startups to test, validate, and scale innovations across healthcare systems in Europe.
“We need to pilot solutions in one healthcare system and rapidly replicate them in another,” said Mathilde Durvy, Manager of the Future of Health Grant. “This partnership is about removing barriers for European health innovators.”
Key Strengths of the Partners:
- Future of Health Grant (Switzerland): Supports early-stage startups with tailored coaching, up to CHF 90,000 in non-dilutive funding, and access to Swiss healthcare institutions.
- Future4care (France/Germany): Backed by Capgemini, Generali, Orange, and Sanofi, it offers startups strong networks and access to French and German healthcare markets.
- Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub (Spain): A 500+ member ecosystem combining clinical validation in Barcelona and digital transformation expertise in Madrid, opening doors to Southern Europe.
Strategic Goals:
- Build cross-border connections between startups, hospitals, corporates, and investors.
- Co-host events and workshops tackling shared healthcare challenges.
- Collaborate on European-funded projects like Horizon Europe and Eurostars.
“This partnership opens doors to faster, cross-border validation and helps innovators bridge the gap between prototypes and market-ready solutions,” said Eva Rosell, CEO of Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub.
This alliance aims to create a seamless pathway for startups to launch in one country and pilot in another within a year, fostering a truly European digital health ecosystem.
“It lays the foundation for truly European innovation in digital health,” added Agnès de Leersnyder, CEO of Future4care.
