SamanTree Medical secured €20 million in financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB)

SamanTree Medical, a European leader in surgical imaging innovation, has secured €20 million in financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB). This financing will support the continued development and commercialisation of the Histolog® Scanner in Europe and the United States.
This transaction is supported by InvestEU, the EU’s flagship program to mobilize more than €372 billion in additional investment between 2021 and 2027.
The financing supports the development of an advanced confocal microscopy scanner that enables rapid imaging of the internal microstructure of tissue samples during surgical procedures. It will support SamanTree Medical’s research, development, and innovation activities, including the continued development and improvement of its Histolog® Scanner.
The EIB financing is provided under its Risk Capital Debt Facility and aims to support highly innovative companies engaged in research-intensive development activities.
