Apply until 30 June 2026 for the IFF (Innovation Fribourg Freibourg) Awards, a initiative of Canton of Fribourg to honor promising and innovative companies.
The IFF 2026–2027 Award (Innovation Fribourg Freiburg) has officially launched its 18th call for applications, reaffirming its commitment to supporting innovation across the canton.
With a total prize fund of CHF 50,000, the award recognizes outstanding projects in three categories:
- Start-up Award (CHF 30,000) for companies less than five years old
- Enterprise Award (CHF 10,000) for established businesses
- Sustainability Award (CHF 10,000) for initiatives with strong environmental or societal impact
New this year, the Carbon Fri Award (CHF 10,000) will further highlight projects contributing to carbon reduction and climate action.
Open to all companies based in the canton of Fribourg, the competition offers finalists valuable visibility and recognition within the regional innovation ecosystem. A total of nine companies will be selected as finalists.

About IFF Award
Founded in 1991, the IFF Award has been presented every two years and has recognized more than 50 companies across its 17 previous editions, contributing to the dynamic development of innovation in the canton. The jury—chaired by State Councilor Olivier Curty, is composed of representatives from industry, public institutions, academia, and the innovation sector.
