The Foundation for Innovation and Technology (FIT) is awarding a Tech Growth loan of CHF 400’000 to Isospec Analytics, an EPFL spin-off specialising in the identification of biological molecules for medical research. MYSTONES, an athlete tracking platform, gets a CHF 20’000 Digital Grant.

Isospec Analytics: reading the molecules of the human body to improve treatment

The human body contains thousands of molecules which, when analysed, could reveal valuable information about our diseases and help us to better understand and treat them. The problem: identifying them all, quickly and accurately, has until now been impossible.

The EPFL spin-off, Isospec Analytics has developed a technology capable of reading these molecules like a fingerprint based on a sample of patients. A hundred times faster than existing methods, it enables researchers to better understand diseases and develop more targeted drugs. The company, which now has a team of ten people, has already carried out several pilot projects, notably in partnership with the CHUV, and received its first Tech Seed loan from the FIT in 2024.

Thanks to the CHF 400’000 Tech Growth loan granted by FIT, Isospec Analytics will be able to double the capacity of its analysis technology and aim to double its revenue by the end of 2026.

MYSTONES: tracking athletes’ performance and well-being on a single platform

Athletics is one of the least digitised sports. Athletes and coaches find themselves juggling multiple tools to track training sessions, analyse performance and monitor recovery, without ever having a complete overview.

MYSTONES is a platform that centralises everything athletes, coaches and physiotherapists need to work together. An algorithm analyses the data collected to identify early warning signs of injury and enhance collaboration. The platform is currently being trialled with around 60 athletes.

Thanks to the CHF 20’000 Digital Grant awarded by the FIT, MYSTONES will be able to refine its product by incorporating specific indicators, improve the dashboard and prepare for its first partnerships.
