Swiss Medical Network, one of Switzerland’s two leading private groups of clinics and hospitals, SWISSto12, a pioneer in satellite telecoms technology, and Hublot, a Swiss watch manufacturer, were awarded prizes at the 11th Prix Vaudois des Entreprises Internationales (PVEI).

Swiss Medical Network (SMN) was awarded the Jury’s Special Prize. The SMN Group covers the entire medical spectrum, managing listed and contracted hospitals. Some 2,300 doctors and 4,100 staff work in the 21 clinics and hospitals, as well as in more than 60 outpatient centers spread across 15 cantons and all language regions of the country. Swiss Medical Network is an 80%-owned subsidiary of AEVIS VICTORIA SA, the entity behind the creation of the Genolier Innovation Hub, due to open in September 2024.
SWISSto12 was selected by the jury in the “Innovation” category. Founded in 2011 as an EPFL spin-off, SWISSto12 has become a leading manufacturer of telecommunications satellites and advanced radio frequency components.
Awarded in the “Industry” category, Hublot, founded in 1980, combined gold and a rubber strap in its first creation, a sporty case inspired by a ship’s porthole.

One award, three categories

Every autumn since 2014, the PVEI has honored three companies based in Vaud and active internationally. This distinction aims to highlight the contribution these companies make to the influence and diversification of our economic fabric. This year, the “Innovation” category honors a company that stands out for its innovative product or business model. The “Industry” category rewards a company producing goods or services in the canton of Vaud. The “Jury’s Special Prize” is awarded to an additional organization that the jury wishes to recognize.
The prize is awarded jointly by the Département de l’économie, de l’innovation, de l’emploi et du patrimoine (DEIEP), the Chambre vaudoise du commerce et de l’industrie (CVCI) and Innovaud. The ceremony took place on November 20 at IMD in Lausanne, in front of some 300 guests.
