The 10th Anniversary of the Center for Emerging Viral Diseases is taking place on 24 September 2026 at HUG in Geneva
The Center for Emerging Viral Diseases is a joint institution of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and the University of Geneva (UNIGE). Since its creation, the Center has established itself as a key player in research, prevention, and response to emerging viral diseases.
For the past ten years, it has played a major role in preparing for and managing public health emergencies, both nationally and internationally. Through its national reference laboratories for emerging viruses, influenza, measles, and rubella, the Center provides Switzerland with recognized scientific expertise, high-performance diagnostic capabilities, and specialized know-how in the management of high-risk viral infections.
This anniversary will be an opportunity to look back on a decade of commitment, innovation, and scientific collaboration, as well as to share our outlook for the future.
