Neurosoft Bioelectronics, Givaudan and Bracco Honoured at Geneva’s Grands Prix de l’économie

Three life sciences companies were celebrated on 17 September at the Grands Prix de l’économie genevoise ceremony, held at Le Cube on the HEAD campus in Geneva.
The Prize for Innovation went to Neurosoft Bioelectronics, an EPFL spin-off based in Geneva and New York. The company develops soft brain-computer interfaces that record neural activity at the surface of the cortex in a minimally invasive way. The resulting data is used to train artificial intelligence models capable of translating electrical brain signals into movement or speech, and the company has already launched its first clinical studies in humans in the United States and Europe.
Givaudan was awarded the Prize for International Influence. Active in fragrance and beauty as well as taste and wellbeing, the group employed more than 17,580 people worldwide in 2025 and generated revenues of CHF 7.5 billion.
The Prize for Industry went to Bracco, a group specialising in medical diagnostic imaging. Present in more than 100 countries, Bracco develops contrast agents, medical devices and solutions aimed at improving patient diagnosis and care.
Lombard Odier, Geneva’s oldest private bank, founded in 1796, has won the Economy Prize. The Fondation pour Genève was also recognised at the ceremony.
The Geneva Economy Awards have been organised for the past 14 years by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce (CCIG) to celebrate local economic excellence.
