A minuscule needle synonymous of hope for 16 million patients
FEMTOprint has developed, in partnership with the EPFL and the Jules-Gonin Hospital, a small glass needle which could revolutionize the ophthalmology industry.
The 6 centimeter long and 2 millimeter wide needle was highlighted during the high precision meeting (EPHJ-EPMT-SMT) which took place in Geneva in June 2019.
This new MedTech device will enable ophthalmologists to safely inject medicine within the retina veines to facilitate the dissolution of blood clots.
