Bachem supplies key anaesthetic drug to support fight against COVID-19
The Swiss-based company, Bachem, is the world leader in the development and production of peptide-based active pharmaceutical ingredients.
1 million CHF was invested to increase its production capacity. The team based in Vionnaz, in the canton of Valais, is working 24/7 to produce propofol. The molecule is not part of Bachem’s main activity. However, the company’s focus was shifted to support the COVID-19 worldwide demand for the anaesthetic drug.
