Magali Bischof promoted Secretary General of the BioAlps Association

The Executive Committee of the BioAlps Association has chosen Mrs Magali Bischof as the next Secretary General. She will take up her position on 1 January 2022.

BioAlps is celebrating its 20th anniversary supporting Life Sciences innovation in Western Switzerland. The Association builds bridges and partnerships between various players in the academic, industrial, political, financial and media circles in Western Switzerland and thus promotes the development of the region as a global Life Sciences cluster.

Magali Bischof has already been working within the Association since 15 November 2017 as Project & Community Manager. She was able to contribute to the Association’s development by establishing contacts with members and affiliates. She will take over the position of Secretary General of the Association on 1 January 2022 with the aim of consolidating activities of the Association, strengthening links and partnerships with organisations that support innovation in Life Sciences in Switzerland and internationally, and by developing digital and communication tools necessary for the continuity of the organisation and the success of the region.

To this end, she will put together a team that will assist and support her in her mission. She will be accompanied by the former incumbent and supported by the Executive Committee of the Association.

Magali Bischof holds a Master in Business and Economics and a DAS and Master in Management and Business Administration. She has also acquired many skills and competences through further education in communication and digital marketing. Before joining the Association, Magali Bischof contributed for more than 5 years at the World Economic Forum to the organisation of events, to the welcome and onsite management of government delegations and to the relations with various actors of the public, private and academic sectors, present at international summits in Davos but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.

The Life Sciences community of Western Switzerland will find in Magali Bischof an innovation advocate who is attentive, dedicated and ready to take on the challenges facing Life Sciences.

The BioAlps Association Executive Committee is delighted with this appointment and wishes her every success in this position.

Mr Claude Clément
President of the BioAlps Association
