The Swiss Health Valley Well Represented at BIO US in San Diego

BioAlps – Western Switzerland Life Sciences Cluster, is once again at BIO International Convention 2026. The event started on Monday 22 June, up to 25 June in San Diego, California. The Swisstech Pavilion features many Swiss Health Valley startups or projects. And many companies from our region made the trip.
The BIO International Convention is one of the leading biotech event, attracting over 1,600 exhibitors and 21,000 attendees. The SWISS Pavilion is organized by Switzerland Global Enterprise in close collaboration with the Swiss Biotech Association (SBA), the Swiss Business Hub USA, Innosuisse and Swissnex in Boston and New York. Every year, BioAlps is there to represent the Swiss Health Valley.
Five Swiss Health Valley startups traveling to San Diego, California, receive support from Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency. The companies cover all aspects of the drug discovery and development chain.

- OM Pharma (GE) – prevention of recurrent respiratory and urinary tract infections
- Ten23Health (VS) – develops, manufactures, and tests sterile injectable medicines for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
- iOnctura (GE) – precision oral small molecules that target cancers in novel ways
- NewBiologix (VD) – efficient, cost-effective, and scalable production of viral vectors for gene and cell therapy
BioAlps & BIO US: a long-standing partnership
The story of BioAlps — Western Switzerland Life Sciences Cluster — is deeply intertwined with BIO US. Back in 2021, several leading academic institutions in the region, including CHUV, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), the University of Geneva (UNIGE), EPFL and the University of Lausanne (UNIL), recognized the need for a unified Swiss presence at the world’s largest life sciences gathering. BioAlps was born from that conviction.
Since then, the organization has grown into a powerful regional force: six cantons, 17 academic institutions, and more than 1,900 organizations — all united under what is now widely known as the Swiss Health Valley.
