dsm-firmenich invests € 275 Million into Adare Biome

Adare Biome, a unit of Adare Pharma Solutions (CDMO), is a historic player in the development and manufacturing of postbiotic ingredients. The agreement will help the dutch-swiss group dsm-firmenich reinforce its “Health from the Gut” strategy.

This divestment will provide Adare Pharma Solutions with additional resources to carry out its core activities as a specialist contract manufacturing and development organization (CDMO), and will strengthen its position as a world-class outsourcing partner within the pharmaceutical industry.”
Through its B2C i-Health unit, dsm-firmenich plans to expand the availability of Lactéol®, Adare Biome’s over-the-counter postbiotic supplement for digestive disorders. The development of postbiotic ingredients in B2B will lead to opportunities in dietary supplements, early life nutrition, medical nutrition and improved nutrition for the undernourished. The acquisition of Adare Biome will also position dsm-firmenich as a market leader in microbiome modulation for companion animals, and expand its range of animal health products, whose stable postbiotics make it possible to integrate them into premium food solutions.
