HMCare to develop a transparent surgical mask

HMCare will launch the production of its HelloMask as of early 2021
For the past two years, the EPFL EssentialTech Center and Empa (Swiss federal materials-science center) have collaborated to develop a transparent mask to facilitate communication between caregivers and patients. The startup HMCare, created as a result of this project, has already raised CHF 1 million to plan the manufacturing process.
The product called HelloMask will be fully transparent, resistant and eco-friendly, as 99% of its composition will be from biomass. The production, initially set to take place in Asia, will most probably be set up in Switzerland.
