Liechti Foundation: Coup de Pouce Grant

Apply before 30 June 2026 for the Foundation Liechti’s annual grant, and try to get of up to CHF 50’000

The Foundation Liechti’s annual grant is intended to support business projects in the start-up phase. Start-ups are assessed primarily on the basis of three specific criteria.

1. The objective
   This is the key selection criterion. The project must bring about innovation or sustainable progress in areas such as the economy, the environment, health, the fight against poverty, and basic needs (water, energy, etc.). A humanitarian impact is desirable.

2. The stage of development
   The Foundation’s support is aimed at ‘start-ups’ at the early stages of their development. However, projects at the planning or design stage, without any actual launch, are excluded. At the other end of the spectrum, applications that are at a very advanced stage – those in the process of being acquired or commercialised, or those benefiting from solid partnerships – are generally excluded.

3. The ‘Boost’ Effect
   In the context of the budgets of many start-ups, the Foundation’s grant is certainly a modest contribution. Nevertheless, the foundation aim to achieve maximum effectiveness and provide a decisive boost. This is why applicants who already have substantial funds, who are receiving other grants and awards, or who benefit from partnerships securing their funding, are not given priority over those for whom the grant is decisive.
