The Swiss Meeting for Medical Imaging Specialist is taking place from 28 to 30 May 2026 in Lausanne.
This three-day event brings together leading experts for a comprehensive programme covering the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional radiology. Through a mix of educational sessions, scientific presentations, and expert lectures, participants will gain insights into the latest clinical practices, technological advances, and subspecialty developments.
The programme features renowned national and international speakers and opens with a session on the national strategy for artificial intelligence in diagnostic imaging, addressing radiological, technical, and ethical perspectives. Key highlights include plenary sessions on abdominal imaging, the interactive “One case – Three lessons” format exploring complex clinical cases, and dedicated sessions on topics such as breast cancer screening and the future of radiology in terms of costs and education.
Additional sessions will tackle practical challenges faced by professionals, including managing night shifts, while the final day will focus on musculoskeletal imaging, with a course dedicated to lower limb conditions.
SCR’26 is organised by the Swiss Society of Radiology (SGR-SSR) and its associated societies (SGPR-SSRP, SSVIR, SSER, SSSR, SSRMP), as well as the SVMTR-ASTRM (Swiss Association of Radiographers) and the SGNM-SSMN (Swiss Society of Nuclear Medicine)
