La Source Launches H4

La Source opens an innovation platform dedicated to care and health in Vaud (Switzerland).
The H4 “Hands-on Human Health Hub” was created to help start-ups in the life sciences sector overcome their early-stage difficulties.
The project represents an investment of CHF 3 million over 5 years. Half will be financed by the State of Vaud on the basis of a financing agreement, the other half by Institut La Source and its partners, including Biopôle SA, a company that promotes and develops real estate dedicated to health innovation. At the end of a five-year phase devoted to its creation and growth, H4 will continue its activities on the basis of self-financing provided in particular by client companies, partners, and sponsors, as well as by financial contributions for projects eligible for funding.
The advances in the quality of care and patient safety that will result from the projects carried out at the H4 will benefit both institutions and healthcare personnel as well as patients and their families.
