EPFL scientists are using AI to improve control over robotic hand use for amputees
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used at EPFL to merge solutions from two different fields: neuroengineering and robotics. EPFL’s proof-of-concept has successfully been tested on 3 amputees and 7 healthy subjects.
The AI technology behind EPFL’s project helps translate information received from the neurotechnology device into intentions. The latter are then transferred to the robotic hand for action.
