Collaboration is key to foster innovation in the Swiss Health Valley
Founded in 2003, BioAlps empowers the Swiss Health Valley and is Western Switzerland life sciences cluster. For the 20 past years, cantons and academic institutions have been working to make the development of life sciences a priority. This is why our region has now more than 1 350 actors active in medtech, biotech, pharma, digital health, nutrition and cosmetics.
On 9 May 2023, the association held its 20th General Assembly at University of Neuchâtel. After an introduction by Prof. Felix Kessler, UNINE’s vice-rector and Matthieu Ribaut, Head of Canton of Neuchâtel Economic Departement, Prof. Antoine Geissbuhler, BioAlps’ President, and Magali Bischof, Secretary general of the association, opened the session.
Decisions
✅ Idiap Research Institute became the association 15th institutional member.
✅ Raphaël Conz, former Vice-president, hands over his position to Pierre-Jean Wipff
✅ An advisory committee was created with all BioAlps’ members to drive and strenghten our region #lifesciences strategy.
