10th Patient Quality of Life Challenge: Five Innovative Projects Awarded

For its 10th edition, the Patient Quality of Life Challenge reaffirmed its role as a launch pad for innovation in healthcare. Five finalists were selected out of more than 150 applications.

Driven by Debiopharm, La-Solution.ch, and the Inartis Foundation, the Patient Quality of Life Challenge attracted nearly 150 submissions this year. Five finalists were selected and each received CHF 5,000 to refine their concept and develop a prototype. The final winner, to be announced in December, will receive CHF 25,000 and strategic support.

The selected projects include:

• • Conciergerie: a compassionate support network for isolated patients.
  • Diabète Même Pas Peur: digital educational companion for children with Type 1 diabetes.
  • Medeleo: decision-support tool to help safely stop unnecessary medications.
  • ReProtect: eco-friendly medical devices made from certified recycled hospital waste.
  • Students Pool: a platform linking healthcare students with care institutions.

Since its launch, the Patient Quality of Life Challenge has supported over 1,000 ideas and revealed emblematic projects like Dermintel and in Visu. “This Challenge has become a key link in turning ideas into real-world solutions,” says Thierry Mauvernay (Debiopharm).
