dEEGtal Insight SA is a pioneering spin-off, of the Geneva University Hospitals (the EEG and Epilepsy Unit) and the University of Geneva, focused on transforming early detection and diagnosis of epilepsy. Innosuisse recently approved a CHF 640,000 support.

This forward-thinking initiative leverages advanced AI-powered software to deliver precise and timely insights to neurologists, enabling early intervention and better patient outcomes.

dEEGtal Insight SA’s technology addresses current challenges in diagnosing epilepsy by improving its detection accuracy and guiding clinicians toward informed decisions. Additionally, dEEGtal simplifies the EEG analysis process by offering automated medical reporting, automatic slowing detection, and a comprehensive overview of EEG signals.

Collaborative Project for Real-World Impact

The Innosuisse-backed project brings together a network of top-tier partners to ensure the solution is both technically advanced and clinically relevant:

  • Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne Ltd. will support engineering, data visualization, signal processing, and AI model development, pushing the boundaries of digital health innovation.

  • Hôpital Universitaire de Bâle (University Hospital Basel) will lead the clinical validation, testing the technology in real-life settings to confirm its benefits for both patients and healthcare providers.

“This project is a unique opportunity to bridge cutting-edge technology with clinical reality and to redefine how EEG is used in neurology and psychiatry,” said the dEEGtal team.

Building Momentum with Strong Support

This achievement follows a series of recognitions and funding successes for dEEGtal Insight.

  • In October 2024, the company was awarded the Innovation Prize from HUG.

  • Earlier this year, the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering announced CHF 750,000 in support to help accelerate the company’s growth.

With these resources and partnerships, dEEGtal Insight is well-positioned to advance epilepsy diagnosis and shape the future of neurological care, bringing AI-driven innovation directly to the bedside.
