DePoly gets the Swiss Economic Award 2025 in the “Deeptech / Life Science” category, with a CHF 25’000 cash prize.
The award ceremony took place this Friday in Interlaken, attended by part of the Sion-based start-up team and representatives from the political and economic spheres.
DePoly’s innovative technology breaks down PET and polyester into core monomers without high pressure, without heat, and with a carbon footprint that’s 65% lower than traditional methods. It’s a significant step forward in plastic recycling.
What sets their solution apart is that the recycled material is virtually indistinguishable from virgin plastic – only cleaner, greener, and genuinely circular. Tested on more than 150 waste streams, their innovation is moving from lab success to a flagship plant, and soon to an industrial scale.
