The 14th edition of the Idiap Create Challenge (ICC), a 9-day hackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence, is taking place from 21 to 29 August 2025 in Martigny.
The ICC, organised in partnership with The Ark Foundation, offers a unique environment where participants benefit from Idiap’s recognised expertise in artificial intelligence. On the programme: personalised mentoring, access to workshops on legal aspects, pitch strategy and project development, as well as the opportunity to win prizes for innovation and market viability.
Who is it for?
The challenge is open to anyone of legal age with skills in software development, design, statistics, machine learning, business strategy or marketing. Projects must be in the field of artificial intelligence and aim to have a tangible impact, particularly in the areas of health, sport or society in general.
A launchpad for entrepreneurship
Beyond the competition itself, the ICC is recognised for its role as a springboard for entrepreneurship. Winners can benefit from comprehensive support to transform their prototype into a start-up, including financial support, coaching and accommodation in a business incubator in Valais. For example, Pulse Partners, the 2023 winner, was able to develop Smartinterview, a high-impact interview analysis solution for innovation professionals.
