17 foreign companies have joined the Swiss Health Valley in 2023, with the prospect of creating more than 150 jobs in the next three years.

Founded in 2010, Greater Geneva Bern area (GGBa) brings together the cantons of Bern, Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Geneva and Valais.

GGBa’s mission is to attract foreign companies that will sustainably strengthen the priority expertise clusters of Western Switzerland, including life sciences, and create high added-value jobs.

In a collaborative effort, Greater Geneva Bern Area (GGBa) and the cantonal economic promotion agencies supported the establishment of 76 foreign companies in Western Switzerland in 2023. Furthermore, over 180 companies conducted assessment visits.

These 76 newcomers originating from 25 countries worldwide, primarily hailing from the ICT, Life Sciences, CleanTech, Precision and Services sectors, are projected to generate over 600 jobs in the next three years.

France remains the primary investor, and, notably, China is now a significant contributor, emphasising the region’s increasing attractiveness on the global investment stage.
