Prof. Antoine Geissbuhler elected at the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium

A new mission for BioAlps’ President

Professor at the Department of Radiology and Medical Informatics of the Faculty of Medicine, Vice-Rector of the UNIGE and Head of the e-Health and Telemedicine Service of the University Hospitals of Geneva, and newly appointed “Foreign Corresponding Member” of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium. Trained as an internist, Antoine Geissbuhler specialized in medical informatics at Vanderbilt University (USA). Since 1999, he has held the Chair of Medical Informatics at the Faculty of Medicine of the UNIGE, which is recognized as a WHO Collaborating Centre. He is also President of the Health On the Net Foundation, working to promote the quality of medical information on the Internet. He joined the Rectorate as Director of Digital Transformation in December 2018.
And was elected President of the BioAlps Association, the organisation empowering the Swiss Health Valley, in May 2022.
