The new SICHH symposium series is supported by Innosuisse

The Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health (SICHH) is supported by Innosuisse for the symposium series of the new BrainFit4Life initiative. The aim of the initiative is to promote research and investment in neurological diseases in Switzerland. BrainFit4Life is a large-scale project which recently received funding of around CHF 120,000 from Innosuisse, providing support for the symposia organised within its framework for the next four years. Thanks to this funding, the Task Force will be able to continue its work: to raise awareness of neurological diseases, to optimise research funding and to promote the efficient use of resources already available in Switzerland in the field of diagnosis and brain health.

The headquarters of BrainFit4Life is located in the SICHH, which is also associated with the University of Fribourg Foundation. On 13 October 2020, BrainFit4Life organised the first symposium in this series of conferences, attracting more than 140 participants. During this event, national and international researchers, actors from the health industry and policy makers discussed innovative solutions for age-related neuropathies.

This project aims to develop broad networks as well as an overview of clinical, biomedical and research trials. BrainFit4Life addresses the most innovative Swiss research topics and technological innovations in the field of brain health and is involved in key issues for the future. The next event will be held in January 2021 and will take the form of discussions between insurance companies, patient advocacy groups and doctors.
