After five years of fostering innovation in women’s health, the Tech4Eva programme—co-founded by EPFL Innovation Park and Groupe Mutuel—will officially come to an end in 2026.

Launched as a pioneering Femtech accelerator, Tech4Eva has grown into an internationally recognized exchange platform connecting entrepreneurs, researchers, corporates, and healthcare professionals with a shared mission: improving women’s health through innovation.

The decision to conclude the programme was driven by the inability to secure sufficient funding to continue operating at the high standards Tech4Eva had set for itself. Despite this, its achievements remain remarkable. Since 2021, Tech4Eva received 756 applications, facilitated over 500 investor introductions, supported 94 alumni startups, and contributed to five startup acquisitions. Collectively, participating companies raised more than CHF 220 million in investment. Tech4Eva also organized more than 180 events, conferences, and roadshows, and enabled over 1,000 mentoring and advisory meetings. Far more than a traditional accelerator, Tech4Eva embodied a bold vision for women’s health innovation—one that transcended borders, cultures, and disciplines to advocate for health equity and well-being in both professional and personal spheres.

Reflecting on the journey, Simone Theiss, Programme Manager of Tech4Eva, shared:

“After five inspiring years fostering innovation, supporting bold ideas, and growing a vibrant Femtech community, it is with great sadness that we announce the conclusion of Tech4Eva. We are incredibly proud of what was achieved together. A heartfelt thank you goes to the mentors who supported the startups throughout the programme’s lifetime. Their time, expertise, and commitment played a decisive role in helping young companies grow, refine their technologies, and reach international markets.”

“Honored to have been part of Tech4Eva as a mentor,” said Magali Bischof, Secretary General of BioAlps and long-time mentor.

“In five years, the team supported 110 Femtech startups and helped move women’s health innovation forward with rigor and heart. While this programme is coming to an end, the need, the talent, and the momentum are stronger than ever. What was built here will continue to shape what comes next for women’s health. Thank you, Tech4Eva team, for paving the way.”

While Tech4Eva is coming to an end, the mission continues. EPFL Innovation Park runs several other acceleration programmes and its incubator, La Forge, and will launch a mentor community to continue supporting the innovation ecosystem. Those wishing to remain engaged and contribute to future initiatives are encouraged to contact the Foundation directly.

Tech4Eva leaves behind more than numbers and success stories—it leaves a strong, connected Femtech community and a clear message: the future of women’s health innovation is not only necessary, but already in motion.
