New MRI method, developed in Lausanne enhances eye imagery and clears new path for further research
Research from the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), the University of Lausanne and the Lausanne Ophthalmic Hospital Jules-Gonin, published in the Progress in Neurobiology review, details a new MRI method which enables the capture of simultaneous details about the eye, its musculature and its oculomotor properties.
This new method will enable researchers to better understand the oculomotor properties of the eye while in motion and link these observations with the eye’s behaviour and anatomy. This new technology will support development of research from medical diagnostics to connexions between the eye and the brain, leading the way for further developments in cognitive neurosciences.
