FONGIT is the first innovation incubator in Switzerland, specialising in technological innovation in Geneva. The organisation currently supports more than 100 startups and projects in the fields of ICT, Engineering, and Life Sciences. It helps innovative projects and startups during the different phases of their development by providing them with 3 types of financing services:
The Fongit Grant : CHF 50 000
Clear desire to create a business, in compliance with at least one Sustainable Development Objective. Scientific research projects from a Geneva university, college, or research institute with the objective of launching a new product, process, or service that meets a social or economic need and has a potential market.
The Fongit Seed Loan : CHF 100 000
Existence of a POC (Proof of Concept), developments demonstrating technological or scientific feasibility and based on intellectual property (IP). Compliance with at least one Sustainable Development Objective. May not exceed 70% of the total budget of the financing round concerned by the support, which must also be financed by own or third-party funds. For Geneva-based technology companies in the start-up phase, in particular start-ups with an innovative product or service. Repayment of the loan starts in the 3rd year and can extend over a period of 5 years.
The Growth Loan : CHF 400 000
Strong growth in sales, compliance with at least one Sustainable Development Goal. May not exceed 70% of the total budget of the financing round concerned by the support, which must also be financed by own or third-party funds. For SMEs active in the development of technological innovations.
